Big Sky CARES Recycling Program

At Big Sky CARES, our clinic provides access to affordable animal care. Now we are taking a new step to continue building a healthier community for people and their pets. We are the proud recipients of a Healthy Communities Grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful. Our grant has seeded a partnership with Lemon Tree Recycling Services of Covington to bring drop off recycling services to Folsom!

Door-to-door curbside pickup in Folsom is challenging because homes are so far apart, but Big Sky’s location on a major highway makes recycling drop off a very practical option for families in Folsom and points beyond who care about the environment and want to recycle.

Recycling Program Subscription Fee:  $20/month

For a small subscription fee, Big Sky CARES will accept your dropped off glass, metals, and plastics for recycling during regular business hours at our Clinic and Adoption facility located at 82060 Highway 25 in Folsom, LA.

  • Products for recycle must be separated by type.  (Drop-off bins will be clearly marked for a particular type of product.)

  • Empty and rinse out all containers. Keep food and liquid out of your recycling.

  • Keep plastic bags out of the bin. They will clog the machinery. However, most grocery stores will accept and recycle them for you.

  • Plastic containers have a number inside the recycling symbol on them. Nos. 1 and 2 are easiest to recycle..
