In 2021, Big Sky Ranch/CATNIP Foundation completed a clinic expansion project and moved its base of operations to 82060 Highway 25 in Folsom. The expanded clinic serves families and rescue organizations across Louisiana, offering everything from basic care and spay/neuter services to critical care, dental services, laser therapy and X-Ray.

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT EMERGENCIES
Our staffing capacity prevents us from responding to all requests for emergency medical care. If you need emergency help with an animal, you may call our clinic at (985) 796-4494 or text 985-276-0270 with details and we will respond as quickly as possible to let you know if medical staff are onsite and available to examine the animal.
Your nearest 24-hour veterinary clinic might be Northlake Veterinary on the northshore or Metairie Small Animal Hospital on the south shore.

Our clinic expansion began during the height of the initial COVID crisis in 2020. Several of our committed donors found themselves in positions of great financial uncertainty and were unable to contribute in the way they had planned. At the same time, our region was hit so hard by the pandemic, including so many people across south Louisiana who are professionals in the hospitality industry, which was devastated by widespread indefinite closures. Requests for medical assistance and attempts to surrender pets reached a fevered pitch while our supporters were struggling themselves and unable to help us meet the staggering needs.
And then a benefactor came forward to ensure that our hospital would be operational during the crisis when most private veterinarians were still closed for business and so many animals were in need of help. Becky Robinson, the president and founder of Alley Cat Allies, provided the support we needed to launch our hospital services and continues keeping our hospital doors open for the animals who need care.
