Zach was pulled from a shelter in Pineville as a dangerously sick kitten. His health recovery was a long, hard road—he dealt with persistent health issues for several years before finally stabilizing. Sadly, because of his long medical history and need for ongoing care, potential adopters were continually turned off, and interest in him eventually faded.

Fortunately, Big Sky Ranch became his forever sanctuary, giving him all the time and medical support he needed to thrive. Today, at 9 years young, Zach still requires intermittent, lifelong medication to manage his symptoms whenever they flare up, but his resilient, loving spirit hasn't dimmed for a second.

Zach is one of the sweetest, most affectionate cats you will ever meet. If you pick him up, he immediately climbs right onto your shoulders, perches comfortably, and nuzzles his face against yours, happily staying there for as long as you'll hold him. He simply wants to be as close to his favorite humans as possible!
