Wrigley’s story is one of incredible survival and endurance. He was rescued during the devastating 100-year flood of 2016. While he wasn't swimming in the floodwaters himself, he was part of a large group of displaced cats taken to a shelter in Livingston which was overwhelmed by the disaster. Wrigley, and many of his kitty friends, were at risk of euthanasia because of this - until Big Sky CARES stepped in and gave them a safe place to land.
The harsh conditions and exposure during the flood took a toll on Wrigley's long-term health, giving him a distinguished, weathered look beyond his 11 years. Because of his ongoing medical needs, Wrigley was repeatedly passed over by potential adopters. Recognizing where he would thrive best, the ranch transitioned him to Kitty Park, where he enjoys the perfect indoor/outdoor setup in the cottages.
Wrigley suffers from severe stomatitis, a painful inflammatory mouth condition. He relies on an all-wet-food diet and receives regular antibiotics and steroids to manage his flare-ups and keep him comfortable. He is currently in line for dental surgery to help permanently ease his mouth pain.
Despite everything he has been through, and even on days when his mouth is bothering him, Wrigley remains a gentle, sweet boy who appreciates quiet company and gentle affection.
By sponsoring Wrigley today, you directly fund his upcoming dental procedures, daily wet-food meals, and pain-management medications, ensuring this brave flood survivor receives all the comfort and care he truly deserves.
