Lovey’s journey to Big Sky Ranch began over ten years ago thanks to a kind Good Samaritan. Recognized as the very last remaining cat of a local colony, her rescuer worried about her being left all alone. Because Lovey was extremely feral, traditional rehoming wasn't an option - so Big Sky Ranch stepped up to offer her a safe, permanent sanctuary where she could live on her own terms.

For a decade, Lovey has been one of our resident "untouchables," requiring patience, respect, and zero pressure from humans. But time and unconditional love work wonders. Recently, Lovey took a huge step by letting a caregiver gently touch her tail and even leaning in to sniff a friendly finger! Though her temporary stay in a cozy indoor enclosure is due to necessary medical care, this extra face-to-face time is giving her a fresh chance to see that people can be trusted.

Lovey has recently undergone a full-mouth dental extraction, so she now relies on an all-wet-food diet that is soft, soothing, and easy to enjoy.
