Flo

Meet Flo: Our Hide & Seek Expert

Personality: Shy, gentle, and independent

Specialty: Playing hide-and-seek & enjoying her meals

Flo is a resilient, beautiful cat with a deep story. For ten years, she lived contentedly as part of a cat colony at a bank in Baton Rouge, cared for by local supporters. But when the bank was sold, the new owners insisted on evicting her. Unwilling to leave her behind, Big Sky Ranch staff stepped in to trap her and bring her to safety, where she now has a forever home.

As a former colony cat, Flo is feral and remains quite leery of people, making her our resident hide-and-seek expert. While we rarely have the privilege of petting her, Flo always lets us know she’s around by calling out or popping out from her hiding spots whenever food is served!

At Big Sky Ranch, we believe every cat deserves to feel safe, valued, and loved, regardless of whether they ever want to sit in a lap. We give Flo the exact time, space, and respect she needs to feel secure. Today, Flo is starting to experience some age-related kidney issues. Because her feral nature makes direct medication too stressful for her, our team ensures she receives high-calorie, wet food mixed with extra water so she stays hydrated, healthy, and nourished on her own terms.

By sponsoring Flo, you help provide the specialized daily nutrition, protection, and unconditional love she needs to live out her life safely and comfortably.
