Griffin
Free-Roaming Deck Enthusiast

Meet Griffin: Our Deck-Loving Tree Climber
Age: 8 years old
Role: Free-Roaming Deck Enthusiast
Personality: Independent, determined, and living his best feral life
Specialty: Scaling trees and finding his way back to his favorite spot on the porch
Griffin’s journey at Big Sky CARES started with quite the escape act! He originally arrived at the ranch clinic during a community spay/neuter day. Shortly after arriving in a kennel that wasn't fully secure, Griffin made a daring break for it and darted straight underneath founder Catherine's house. It took a lot of patience (and some creative crouching under the porch) to safely trap him again! By then, his original caretakers didn't want him back, and since Griffin was far too wild for a traditional indoor home, the team performed TNR and welcomed him as a permanent sanctuary resident.
Over time, Griffin grew more comfortable in his surroundings and decided that the ranch house deck was his absolute favorite place in the whole world.
Today, 8-year-old Griffin is a spirited, free-roaming guy who spends his days exploring the property and lounging on the deck. At night, he is supposed to settle into Kitty Park for safe sleeping, but his love for the deck knows no bounds—he’s even been known to climb trees inside the park to figure out a way back to his beloved porch!
Griffin proves that every cat deserves a home that honors who they truly are. By sponsoring Griffin today, you help cover his daily meals and routine care, supporting a safe haven where wild spirits like his can thrive on their own terms.
