Dolan came to Big Sky Ranch under deeply heartfelt circumstances after his owner experienced homelessness following a divorce. Dolan didn't arrive alone—he came alongside his absolute best friend in the world, a tortoise! Wanting to ensure the inseparable pair would never be split up or displaced again, their owner requested they find permanent sanctuary at the ranch. For a long time, visitors and staff were treated to the sweet, unusual sight of a cat and a tortoise cozying up together.

Sadly, the tortoise was stolen from the property, leaving Dolan without his lifelong partner. But this resilient, loving boy picked himself right back up and opened his heart to the rest of the ranch family. Today, Dolan is a total flirt who loves wandering over by Kitty Park, making friends with the other cats, and spending hours at the bird coops watching his feathered neighbors.
